Well… we did it !!
After months (days) of planning, some late nights (two) and a few bottles of wine (we had to check it was good stuff), Ellie and Rob were pronounced man and wife at Fingle Bridge Inn on Dartmoor on the 18th July at 4pm.
Thankfully Ellie agreed, although with her sprained ankle she would not have been able to run away easily. The best man, Phil, did a brilliant job, managing friends, family, caterers and photographers alike and succeeding in balancing the shocking truths of his speech with the solemnity of his audience.
Rob and Ellie spent 2 weeks on honeymoon, with most of that time being spent in the lake district, under canvas and later at an old Inn which had great food and proved very bad for our waistlines. Coniston water was explored by Canoe and rowing boat and Grizedale forest tackled by mountain bike. Ellie managed to tackle some of the ‘North face’ offroad cycle track despite her ankle still being sufficiently weak that she was still walking with a limp!

Thanks again to all that came to our wedding and thanks even more to all that helped make it a huge success (including whoever arranged for it to stop raining and the sun to come out when the ceremony finished and we walked outside for photos).
